[I hope you know the deep dive I did into Japanese Nokias to see if he could at least bust out some kaomojis]

Yeah! Way more casual. And quicker, too.

Try turning the :) on its side and rethink that question.

[hehe]

It's a smiling face. Send it to someone to let them know you're happy.

:D is smiling with your mouth open.

:( is a sad face.

And so on and so forth. They just add a bit of color and emotion to your texts.

[or the intensely lazy]

Yeah, but that takes a lot of keystrokes. :) is just easier to type.

Try it!

[H]

[HELP]

You don't have to explain why you used it. I already understand.

[he is so. . . freakin' endeared. . .]

What'd you have to eat?

[she is learning!!]

Yeah! I've had cup noodles before. They're pretty good in a pinch, if kind of plain.

But I've learned how to make them a little fancier, if you ever want to give one of my recipes a try.

[elevating instant noodles was one of the first ways he learned how to cook. . .]

[please Sumina let him rock your culinary world]

I don't know if I'd call myself a cook, but I AM pretty good in the kitchen. Self-taught, though.

[why does he clarify as if being "self-taught" means his skills aren't quite up to par. . .]

As an innkeeper, I bet cooking is second nature to you.

[he will!!]

You say that like we couldn't just create an opportunity for ourselves.

The place I'm staying at now has a kitchen.

[please as if he can afford more permanent lodging right now]

Just a hotel. It's a little run down, but it's better than nothing.

[better than crashing in the front seat of his car every night, at least]

[it's more of a kitchenette since it's a motel, but yeah! it has an oven! and a stove!!]

I don't know if I'd say that you SHOULD, but the nomad life is really working out for me.

[it satisfies the part of him that recently discovered he likes to travel]

And if you stumble across a place that you really like, there's nothing stopping you from staying there for longer than a night or two.

[driving. . . in a world where traffic laws are more of a suggestion. . . clearly this means they should road trip together]

It's not for everyone. I mean, having steady housing is comforting, isn't it?

[she doesn't have to stress about where she'll be sleeping from night to night. nor does she have to compress her entire life into one tiny backpack!]

I was doing a lot of traveling before I got dragged here, so. . . I guess I've grown accustomed to it.
